Along the path in Costa dei Tre Cammini

In the Province of Imperia there are numerous traces of the rich production of lime, a binding material for the construction of mortar, used until the introduction, in the second half of the nineteenth century, of Portland cement.
While the production of lime at an industrial level takes place in sites close to convenient communication ways, the artisanal production carried out in the small lime kiln located in the “Costa Tre Camini” area is probably just for local use, being placed next to an ancient trail.
