Place of worship for shepherds in transhumance
The church of Sant’Erim stands in the Valle dei Maestri, built to support the shepherds’ families during summer transhumance. The cult of Saint Erasmus, traditionally patron of sailors, was also welcomed to protect those who were devoted to sheep farming.
The foundation of the chapel probably dates back to the 16th century.
