 Haymaking witnesses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All the available land was exploited by shepherds and farmers based on altitude, slope, type of terrain, distance from the village and communication routes.
The highest areas, more flat and subject to greater thermal gradients during the year, were dedicated to haymaking. To quickly transport the hay bales, called “beriui”, cableways were installed, some still in use until the middle of the XX century.
The line that descended from Monte Scuassi towards Pantasina still shows the dry stone stations through which the cable passed.
Haymaking is still practiced with modern systems on Monte Guardiabella, between Valle Impero and Valle di Rezzo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
